quiet moments

"peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those and still becalm in your heart."

i am not such a great photographer, but every now and then i'm lucky enough to picture a moment that captures, not only the image, but the over-all feeling of it as well. this was taken after a very tiring day of biking around the ayuthaya ruins (oct 2004)...and i still feel so relaxed and quietened looking at it.

after living years of much gimmicks, noise and fanfare, i discovered that i love these quiet moments just as much.
